Using the latest technology in photo-rejuvenation, the Harmony Dye-VL Pro is an effective IPL treatment for pigmentation removal, vascular lesions and capillary (small blood vessel) removal.
Dye VL is safe, effective and with its consistent results, patients and providers alike are singing its praises. You’ll see visible results after 1 treatment, but multiple treatments may be required to achieve optimal results.
The Photofacial/IPL uses a selective pulsed light energy precisely absorbed by the targeted area, all without damaging healthy skin.
Benign vascular lesions, usually red in color, are lesions caused by an abnormal clustering of blood vessels. By selectively heating and closing off these blood vessels, the Photofacial/IPL pulsed light reduces the lesions while sparing nearby tissue from injury. Pigmented lesions are clusters of melanin and can appear brown, as these pigmented lesions are treated; the light energy heats the melanin in the lesions and causes it to fragment. The melanin fragments are then absorbed by the body and eliminated. During a treatment smooth consistent light pulses ensure the energy delivered to the skin is gentle and effective. Patients may feel the sensation of a light rubber band snap to the skin. After treatment patients can immediately resume regular activities. It is important to note sun tanning may cause an adverse response to this treatment and should be avoided. Most patients require four to six treatments three to four weeks apart for optimal results. This treatment is great for treating hyperpigmentation as well!
Dye-VL is intended for vascular lesions, which are visible abnormalities in the skin commonly referred to as birthmarks. Several types of vascular lesions or birthmarks are treatable using Dye-VL, including:
If you wish to remove vascular lesions, Dye-VL may be the most effective treatment for you. The Harmony XL Pro system is generally safe for all skin types.
After receiving Dye-VL treatment, the treatment area should not be exposed to sun for at least four weeks. This means that depending on your lifestyle or the season, you may be advised to wait before scheduling a Dye-VL session.
In addition, patients with certain health concerns may not be suited to Dye-VL treatment. For example, you may not be a candidate if you have epilepsy, an active infection, or vitiligo. It is also not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking certain medications resulting in photosensitivity.
